Tesco Superstore, Wrexham -Wrexham

ECL worked with HBG Construction Ltd to complete a new Tesco Superstore at Farndon Street, Wrexham. The store covers an area of 7300 m2 and has been built using a structural steel frame infilled with Metsec Lightweight Steel Framing system by ECL. The internal walls were finished using plasterboard, and the external walls were overclad with Argeton Terracotta Rainscreen Cladding (tile module 400 x 200), colour Naturott.

The Terracotta Rainscreen Cladding system was chosen for the exterior of the building because of the speed with which it can be erected. The building also had to comply with certain planning regulations as it is close to the town centre, which made the attractive natural terracotta finish an ideal solution.
